because poor Mr. Name-Me couldn't remain nameless furever. So, I thought he should be named Buster but Amos thought he looked like a Stanley. It's been 6 days since we completed our contest forms and we have yet to receive a prize. Hmmmmm.....maybe we should've gone with our furst name choice.....Harry! Do you think Harry would've been the winning name? What would you have chosen fur a name for poor Mr. Name-Me? In the meantime, I will be checking watching for the mailman daily!
I never understood why anyone would want to get a tattoo until I went to the Stratham Fair this past Sunday and had my arm painted. I walked around thinking I was the coolest gal that ever walked on the planet for the rest of the day! Unfortunately, Snoopy washed away that very evening and I was very sad to lose him!
What do you think? Should I get a real Snoopy tattoo? Have you endured the pain and suffering for the sake of a tattoo? If so, what was the experience like? What kind of tatto is on your arm? I need feedback because I am seriously considering arming myself with a Snoopy tattoo in the near future!

Unfortunately, I had a ruff time figuring out Mr. Linky today so I went with http://www.simply-linked.com/ instead but I am not savvy enough to find a way for you to take a code with you! Grrrr! If you know how to help this technically challenged blogger use the right Mr. Linky code for next Thursday I am all ears!

Okay, now that I have your attention, let me introduce you to 3 of my newest followers! I do love these blogs and if you feel the same way please stop by and say hello!
1. Charla loves chatting on the phone but she also loves sharing her ideas for home, health, and happiness on her amazing blog!
2. Bragging about Bonny is second nature for me because she not only gives advice on blogging but she also responds via e-mail and via comments. Gotta love a hands-on gal like her!
3. Meet my Great Pyrenees mix friend, Fenris, and his cats Scylla, Socks, and Artemisia! They have lots of furry adventures and you'll love reading about every one of them!
If dog
owners are opinionated about one thing, it’s collars. Here’s your chance
to voice your opinion on why you should or should not use a certain
training collar!
Personally, I love how the Halti helps me control my enthusiastic golden retriever clients (Molly and Cooper) when we go on our weekly walks or else they'd pull me in ten different directions! I love the fact that the Halti Head Collar allows me to direct them without tugging at their necks.
Every dog is different and there is no collar best for all dogs. I tried the Halti Head Collar on Daisy on several occasions and I love that I am the one who is walking her and not the reverse. However, she doesn't appreciate it as much as I do!
Another collar that is the perfect fit for is the pinch/prong collar. By "perfect fit" I want to emphasize that the collar is never fitted to the point where, if a correction is given, the collar pinches. Instead, even pressure is applied around her neck. The prong collar is "self-correcting" so if Daisy pulls, rarely is extra pressure, or a correction, needed.
I use this collar only on days when she will be walking with dogs who tend to make her misbehave; otherwise, I use the Halti or
In my world, Saturday mornings are reserved for the dogs but that doesn't mean I can't do some shopping in between visits, right?
Who needs the mall when all of these bargains are sitting right in front of me? This was retail therapy for me and I was in yard sale heaven!
But when these cutie pies (who are up for adoption) greeted me I was sure I was in doggie heaven! In my opinion, dogs make yard sales even better especially if they are greyhounds!
My most cherished prize of the day? This vintage-like dog feeder, of course! I wish you could order one for yourself but Greyhound Treasures is no longer in business. However, I found these adorable alternatives for your shopping pleasure!
As you can see, retail therapy agrees with Daisy quite well!
Remember Mulligan, the Bichon Frise who looked so quiet and calm on a blog post from long ago? If you don't remember, please make sure you do because he is on his way to super stardom and he is apparently wowing his audience so much that the "big shots" at http://www.affordableagility.com/ are sitting up and paying attention to his incredible agility moves! As Mulligan's dog walkers we can't help but brag about the little fella because, after all, we are part of the reason why he has that pawsome physique! Hee-Hee!
Remember, YOU can host the link list on your blog too! Just click “Get the code here…” at the bottom of the list. The code is different every week, so be sure to get the new code when hosting Friendly Friday on your blog. Hosting the list is a great way for everyone to get even more traffic to their blog.

Welcome to my THIRD installment of Thankful Fur Three Thursday! Why did I create this Thursday blog hop, you ask? Simply put, my three kiddos (Henry, Buster, and Daisy) want to meet three or more friends on their favorite day of the week and I thought their idea was pawsome!
Sooo Thankful Fur Three Thursday is all about THREE THINGS: 1) Thanking THREE of our newestGoogle Friend Connect followers and bragging about them every Thursday 2) The opportunity to spread your blog around town by adding your blog URL to Mr. Linky BELOW 3) Meeting and following at leastTHREE new blogs
If you are a new follower and would like your blog to be one of the THREE BLOGS featured next Thursday you must leave a comment with your URL.Thank you and have fun!
And now, the moment you've been waiting for....let me introduce you to my THREE NEWEST FRIENDS! Be sure to greet them as soon as pawsible, okay?
1. Meet Lille Diane and her muse, Opie Taylor! Lille is an artist, photographer, writer, and musician. Lille is one of the most talented gals I know and when I grow up I want to be just like her!
2. Ron Cooper finds inspiration in the simpler things in life and he inspires others in his poems, prayers and other writings on his blog. I think he just might be the next Dr. Phil!
3. Kari is a mom to a very energetic 2 year old and teething 4 month old. In between changing diapers, watching Thomas the Train, playing outside and enjoying the nice New England weather I love blogging about the latest and greatest coupons, deals, product reviews and giveaways.
I have a confession to make. Long before Daisy came into our lives I fell in love with pugs and it all started with the cute little buggers who are pictured above. When I first laid eyes on Ace (the bug-eyed dude on the left) and Miss Fenway three years ago I fell madly and deeply in love and it was at that first meeting that I decided I had to adopt a pug QUICKLY or I would surely die.
When my black pug puppy arrives she will be dubbed Vera Wang and of course she will wear a pearl necklace and she will wear the latest fashions because, after all, she has to live up to her nemesis.
When the pugs checked in to our hotel last week I learned quickly what pug motherhood is all about:
The very first thing I learned about pugs is that they are companion dogs and by companion I mean COMPANION! As you can see, Ace inched his way onto the computer chair and pushed me right off and his sister was about to follow his lead. Trust me, pugs like to be as close to their humans as pawsible!
Another thing I learned was that pugs are crazy about peanut butter on a stick!
Another thing I learned about pugs is that they like to keep a watchful eye on everything that their companions are doing. Believe it or not, for the sake of my blog, I took this photo while I was taking a shower as proof that Ace and Fenway (and Daisy, of course) think I am fascinating!
And don't think for one second that I was the only fascinating human at our humble abode! It seems that Fenway found my fiance' (and his ear) very fascinating indeed!
Ace taught me that pugs are very sensitive! Here he is looking pathetically sad after I told him it's not okay to use the kitchen floor as a bathroom. Trust me, he got the message, loud and clear!
But the most important lesson I learned about pugs is that Daisy wouldn't mind having a little pug (or two) in her life!
I am the purrfect choice to write about my mom, April, because I have been living with her for 11 years! Believe me, I know EVERYTHING about her but since I know where my next meal is coming from I will keep a few secrets to myself ....
but I will tell you that she loved teaching college prep reading classes and GED courses at Pensacola Junior College
and she loved to relax and catch some rays at Pensacola Beach at every pawsible moment
but 6 years later PJC was having money problems and my mom was worried that she'd be in the poorhouse if she stayed on campus sooo ....
she decided it was time to move back to her "homeland", New Hampshire, in 2004 (right before Hurricane Katrina came along). It made sense to move back to the Granite State beclaws she never thought she could be a Southern Belle! Hee! Hee!
My mom was STILL single when she moved home but as soon as she met my dad she wasn't single anymore and the rest is history! The End.
When a dear client called me to ask me how he could stophis cat, Snow, from defecating outside of his litter box. He stated that this behavior had been going onfor months and if the issuewasn't rectifiedhe would consider surrendering Snow to the animal shelter.
Even before doing my research I was quite aware that inappropriate elimination is often the fault of the human in charge of the litter box duties. A litter box should be compared to a human's toilet which is flushed everyday and therefore must be scooped/changed regularly. If left in the wild, a catwould
not choose to walk around in his own waste. Instead, he would simply choose
another plot of land and that “plot of land” could be behind my client's sofa
or in another area of his home.
For years, Scout's owner had been filling the litter box with Tidy Cats Long Lasting Odor Control litter but there are three problems with this litter:
First of all, this litter is not very good at controlling odor. Secondly, the scent of ammonia is unpleasant. Last,if the soiled litter
isn't replaced often enough, the urine will collect at the bottom of the
box. The bacteria in the urine will multiply and convert the uric acid
into foul-smelling ammonia.
I carefully suggested that Scoutwould be happier with clumping (scoopable) litter such as Fresh Step as it is the cleanest, most effective type of cat litter available. The main ingredient, sodium bentotite, acts as a clumping agent,
absorbing urine and turning it into tight, solid clumps that can be
easily removed from the litter box and disposed of.
Within days of following my advice Scout and his owner are happily coexisting in a home where the litter box is well utilized and relatively odor free!
I hope this information has been a help to every frustrated cat owner who has cleaned up way too many accidents outside of the litter box! Please tell me if you've experienced the same issues and what you've done to correct the problem!
