Perfect visit I'd say....my neighbour is a Dachsund--she's not so much friendly because the owner's are elderly and afraid of everything. They don't want the dog to bark or get out of the backyard, so I go to the fence and whine and yip trying to get a response. I'll keep at it and WON'T give up! :-)
Very clever, Miss Lola, to say that Max is Zen-like b/c of his long hair! He must've been a hippie in his past life or maybe he is a hippie and walks the beach holding protest signs when I can't be with him! Yes, he is a cutie pie and we love his spunky personality! Yes, Frankie, dachshunds are very good teachers that's fur sure!
I had a Dachshund growing up> Her name was Honey, she was always in so trouble. She actually use to crawl into the jackrabbits holes and pay them a visit.
i don't know much about doxies, except that they make great furends and look like little sausages. :) but my mum always talks about wanting to adopt a doxie~! it is one type of pup that she wants to have in her lifetime. :)
Okays, well it is a known fact dat long hairs ARE more laid back and doscile than da short har variety. They says it has to do withs their breeding in cockers(?)..and da reds are alot more feisty...go figures. I mean dat is sooooo NOT da Puddles.
Mom fell in love with Doxies when she met a lady at the beach one year who had a little mini one - Fenway Frank - and ever since then she's been head over heels in love with the breed, besides Chihuahuas!
Gee Whiz Max is a really cute guy. I am glad you learned so much from him. We dachshunds are grrreat teachers.
ReplyDeleteOf course what Max is, is a long haired dachshund. I think the Zen part comes from the long hair.
ReplyDeletelotsa licks, Lola
We know Max's parents will be thrilled to be reunited with him - and also thrilled because of the good care he received while they were gone.
