When Daisy woke up yesterday morning she had no idea (or so I would like to think) that she
would be whisked off the the vet's office to wait for the vet to take the Fentanyl patch off my lap and
attach it to her back right hind leg.
And I bet Daisy had no idea that the vet technician would prevent her from tearing the patch off her leg by placing a cone on her head! Uh! Oh!
But when Daisy arrived at home nothing surprised her more than to see a
package from Cynthia, the Good Samaritan who dropped her Christmas shopping itinerary to drive her and her hysterical mom to the Veterinary Emergency Center on the afternoon of December 8th.
And nothing warmed Daisy's heart more than ever to see that she along with many other friends donated to her surgery fund! Daisy thinks it is so pawsome that over $500 has been donated for her behalf!
As you read this post Daisy was admitted for FHO surgery at Oyster River Veterinary Clinic between 8:00 - 8:30 this morning and will be recuperating there until she is able to go home on Wednesday, December 19th.
Just knowing that you, my dear friends, neighbors, acquaintances, and clients, are praying for her provides so much comfort for Daisy and I and we couldn't begin to thank you enough for your support! We will keep you posted on the outcome for days, weeks, and months at a time!
Good luck, Daisy. Lots of love heading your way today.
