When I started volunteering as a cat photographer at Cocheco Valley Humane Society in late September six year old Matthew was my first model and he captured a lot of attention at the shelter, on the shelter's website and on Pet Finder but even with all of the exposure no one wanted to take him home until some lucky family discovered him and took him home last week.
I would've loved to have seen Matthew's face when he was transported out of the shelter and into the vehicle that would take him to his new home but that was not to be. Instead, it warms my heart to know that Matthew who was fending for himself as a stray before arriving at the shelter will now be safe, loved, and well fed for the rest of his life!
Great news! God bless those who took Matthew to his loving forever home....
