6 Cats To Take Home During Cocheco Valley Humane Society's 'Cat-Toberfest'!

To help promote Cocheco Valley Humane Society's Cat-Toberfest I took pictures of as many adoptable cats as possible yesterday because the sooner their pictures are found on-line the sooner they will go home! I love that the shelter lowered its adoption fee from $85.00 to $31.00 for cats who are six months of age or older because it has helped empty out the cages at a faster pace in order to make room for incoming cats who have been surrendered to the shelter.

Of the many photographs I took yesterday the following six cats made me wish I could adopt them but since my home is full I am asking you to think about adopting ---

Moose, a seven year old male who has been at the shelter for 20 days,

or

Sunflower, a 2 year old female who has been waiting for her forever home for 11 days,

or

one year old male, Pandomonium, who has been residing in the shelter for 55 days,

or

two year old, Scarlette, who was brought in to the shelter 364 days ago,

or

seven year old female, Sprocket, who has been waiting patiently for 132 days for someone to take her home,

or

eleven year old, Valerie, who has been waiting for her new owners to arrive for 63 days and counting.

Even though I enjoyed meeting and photographing these six cats yesterday I would love to find out that they've all been adopted by the time I visit again on Monday. Will you be their newest owner? If not, could you pass this post along to others who have been searching for their newest family member?

  9. I love them all but Valerie and Moose were the ones who broke my heart. Moose looks so dignified and relaxed while Valerie looks like she's assessing the situation very carefully. Poor things! I hope they are all adopted by Monday!
