I bought a harness for Henry when he was just a kitten because I wanted him to enjoy the outdoors from our apartment deck without fearing he'd go over the edge and he loved sitting there in freedom. As time went on I hooked up his leash to my lawn chair while I read a book out on the lawn while he sniffed the air and enjoyed the scenery. He goes outdoors with me regularly and had been doing this for 11 years! He's an adventurous kitty who thinks he is really a dog!
I do believe my coonhound sisters would like to tree that cat. However, they have learned to have great respect for animals of the feline nature... :-)
