As a kindergarten teacher, my little munchkins loved to sing silly songs and one of their favorites was "Do Your Ears Hang Low?" and we sang it often.
I find it ironic that a song about dogs' ears became so dear to me when my knowledge of the canine world was so limited. Still, singing about a variety of silly and adorable ears always made me smile and I certainly had no idea I would eventually adopt a coon hound named Daisy whose ears hung low! I also didn't know that I would one day be the proud owner of a pet sitting business where I'd encounter dogs whose ears grew dear to me!
I hope you enjoy humming the lyrics while admiring many of my favorite ears of all time!

We sang this too. Oddly I've never had a dog with long ears. Even as a child all of ours had pointy ears.
ReplyDeleteI remember when you did this before. I loved it then and I still love it now. My dogs ears do all those things.
