If you've ever dreamed of having a character named after you in a famous author's next book your dream can be realized if you find Dennis Lehane's four year old beagle, Tessa, who escaped from her Brookline, Massachusetts, yard on Christmas Eve.
Dennis Lehane is a well known crime novelist who is best known for writing "Mystic River" and "Gone, Baby, Gone," and at the time of Tessa's escape he was finishing a movie script based on his short story "Animal Rescue," timing he said may be "sadistic irony." The movie is scheduled to begin shooting in March in New York City.
Ever since Tessa has been missing Mr. Lehane’s family has launched an all-out search. They have posted fliers, organized foot searches, launched a "Finding Tessa" Facebook Page, and a Twitter account to try to bring Tessa back home.
Mr. Lehane said if someone knows where Tessa is, he cares only about a happy ending, not about solving the mystery of where she has been.
“It’s a no-questions-asked issue,” the author said. “Bring the dog to a shelter, or call me, and I will pick up the dog.”
If anyone sees Tessa or gets a tip about her whereabouts please call the Lehane family at 813-727-1110 or contact them via Facebook or Twitter immediately! Thank you!
I sure hope she is found.

We too hope she is found soon. Paws crossed. Have a terrific Thursday.

I've been following the search closely. Despite the fact that she lives in the city of Brookline, there are many parks and wooded areas that might attract her. I hope she finds her way home.

We hope and pray the Lehane's find Tessa soon too! There's so much publicity about Tessa that she's bound to be returned/found soon!
