Because yesterday was a perfectly good beach day I packed up my things and left the pet sitting world behind for a few hours
and while I was relaxing and soaking up the rays I also did some sightseeing
and this Herring Gull was the first of my sightings. Wouldn't it be nice to have his carefree life, day after day?
and then I met this Royal Tern twosome who were busy watching the surf
and I met a few very busy Baird's Sandpipers
and I watched these tiny Sanderlings wade in the ocean
and I watched the many surfers benefit from the Hurricane Earl waves. From what I understand, the waves might possibly be as tall as 8 feet by the end of this week!
After spending 5 hours at the beach it was time to take my sandy, toasty self home so I could tend to my furry friends, my overworked fiance', and my own 4-legged children. I am glad I finally got a good dose of sunshine and sightseeing and I hope you find some time to do the same today!

ReplyDeleteThank you so much for taking a peek at my day of R & R! If I could've brought my coonhound with me it would've been a bonus but next time I am going to find a beach where dogs are allowed and then that'll be another fun post to blog about! Stay tuned for a "Daisy Barks at The Beach" post!
