When I woke up this morning I felt like turning my back on the day much like Buster did because today marks the day that I turned one year older. Mind you, I don't feel older but I just don't like the number because when one turns 48 the number soon increases to 50 and then to 55 and so on, right?
I was feeling discouraged about my lost youth when a friend called to say, "Cheer up! It's not a half bad day out there! Enjoy it!", so I then turned my attention away from my gloominess and
focused on Daisy who desperately needed a walk and off we went. I could be wrong but I think Daisy sensed my energetic gait on our walk and she followed right in step and walked not one but three blocks this morning! What a wonderful surprise that was!
Of course a courageous walk with her old mom could never be complete without a dog biscuit and that was exactly what she got because she deserved it!
Happy Birfday, April!
