It starts off innocently with the pet parent fully convinced that he'll only be in the store for 5 minutes (and even that is too long to leave a dog in a heated car) but something almost always inevitably happens (he can't find the item he's looking for, long lines, a chance encounter with a neighbor in the aisle, etc) and suddenly Fido is waiting in the car for thirty minutes or more! By then the dog's health and well being is at risk so the best thing to do is to leave your dog at home while you run errands!
