What Do Kitty Clients (Such As George) Need From Their Pet Sitter?

For those who are "cat people" you probably wouldn't be surprised that "non-cat people" simply do not understand what is involved in taking care of these gorgeous creatures so you can imagine the amount of times I've told them that, for instance, George, my newest client, looks forward to human companionship so much that he waits by the window for me to unlock the door, rush to the counter and

open the lid of his kibble container and

pour it into his bowl so he can chow down!

Sometimes my cat pals need to be seen twice a day (such as George) because if left to their own devices they wouldn't be able to restrain themselves from eating all of their food at once which would result in a tremendous amount of weight gain!

Another reason why cats need to be seen twice is if they need me to administer medication (such as insulin shots), a service that is provided for free at my low rate of $12-$14 per each visit.

As you can see, cats require the same amount of love and attention that dogs do!

If you are a cat owner and live in the Dover, New Hampshire, area please contact me for further information!

  1. Cats do get lonely, too and require human companionship just like a dog. It's so much better to have two visits daily to break up their day. Deb

    1. I agree with you, Deb! A lot of people who don't understand cats think they don't need anyone to stop by because, in their minds, the owners can just put food and water in huge bowls and let the litter box stay dirty for however long the owners are gone.

  2. I'm not necessarily a cat person, but logic would dictate they have needs like all animals. I can see why they'd need visits.

    1. Thanks, Bailey, for stating the obvious that a lot people don't understand. Cats need attention just as much as any pet does.

    1. You have a lucky kitty! I'm ashamed to admit that I don't brush my cats very much at all! :( I think it's time to start giving Henry & Buster a brushing routine! :)

  4. This is Trixie and Lily! We started our new blog (in case you don't recognize our ID, that is why.) Our Mama petsits sometimes, and she has petsit for cats. She agrees that the cats are always mostly excited about getting fed, but then they will usually come and play with her, and sometimes even cuddle. Especially if she sits on the floor really still and puts her hand with one pointer finger out. No cat can resist sniffing a finger!

    1. I didn't know you started a new blog! How cute! I'm going to check it out asap! Your mom is right that cats need lots of attention (they get lonely too) and they do love sniffing everything including fingers! Some cats that I've visited just want me to feed them and then leave asap but I know deep down that they want attention too.
