Harold looks forward to "helping" me write notes about his visits for his mom to read. |
Occasionally, clients will request that I visit their cats every other day rather than on a daily basis because they insist that their furry friend is independent. My response to clients is that it is my policy to visit cats daily for the following four reasons: |
Even timid cats such as Newman felt better knowing I would look under the bed to say hello to him. |
As soon as I scoop Norman's litter box he has to inspect it. |
Shy Sebastian never missed a minute of me scooping his litter box and filling his food and water bowls to the brim. |
If my friends do not greet me at the door I look for them immediately. In this case, Sparky was found waiting for me to turn the faucet on for him! |

You sound like an excellent pet sitter. I agree that cats need to be looked in on daily, I actually have my Mom stay with mine if we are going to be gone longer than 1/2 hour- I know that is extreme, but I am protective.
ReplyDeleteThat's such good advice. I don't have cats, just Abby T. Lab, but my best friend has six rescues. When she has to be gone overnight, I stay at the house and care for them. Even with food and water and liter boxes, they are used to their "people" and are much happier with someone in the house to snuggle with or make sure their litter box is tidy. Bless you for being such a good pet sitter. Lin
