At Total Pet Care in Maumee, Ohio, the presidential election has gone to the dogs, quite literally.
Surprisingly, many dogs, such as the Yorkshire Terrier featured in the video above, pass up both treats and are registered as “undecided.”
The owner of every dog who votes receives a coupon for a free night of boarding which can be redeemable after Inauguration Day (January 20, 2013)because Dan Shook, the owner of Total Pet Care, believes that everybody will need a vacation by then.
“We're having a lot of fun with it, but there's also a very serious message,” said Mr. Shook, referring to a sign over the voting area that says “Every Dog Gone Vote Matters.” "We hope that all of our clients go to the polls and vote, no matter which candidate they choose."
Funny!
ReplyDeleteI voted on the way to work! There was a long line as the turn out at 6:30AM was strong!
That is very imaginative and funny. Have a terrific Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
That is GREAT! MOM voted on Thursday and when she got back in the Blazer she gave me a treat. That's my kind of voting.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Goose
I thought it was a very clever and fun way to involve pets in the election process! Dogs and cats are good judges of character so why not give them a chance to vote, right?
ReplyDeleteI love how if they don't choose a treat, they are "undecided." So clever!
ReplyDeleteSeriously, though ... that is a great message. Please get out and vote, everyone!
I wish there were treats for me to choose from when I went to the polls this morning because it might've made it easier for me to decide who to vote for! LOL
ReplyDeleteYes, I love that if the dogs didn't snag a treat that they were considered "undecided" too! Very clever!
