I apologize for my absence in Blogville in the last few days but April vacation week (and all vacation weeks for that matter) are busier than usual in the world of a professional pet sitter. The two who took up most of my time were these silly dogs, Turbo (the one with the crossed paws) and Rocket because I visited them three times a day for eight days which equaled 22 visits. Obviously the time spent there meant that we became even closer friends than we were when we met last July.
Because they are normally very jumpy and energetic I usually have them play out back but because the weather was extremely gorgeous for a few days I took them (along with my dog, Daisy) on many walks onto the UNH campus which is a stone's throw from their house. That's right, little 'ol me walked three dogs who weighed an approximate total of 215 pounds past admiring students, professors, and tourists to the mutual delight of all concerned.
The picture above was taken shortly after one of our 45 minute walks. Don't they look relaxed, happy, and pleased with themselves?
If Rocket could talk he would say that he was proud of himself for fighting the urge to dart out at joggers and for pulling at the leash less and less as time went on!
Another reason why I decided to walk these balls of energy was because this ball was discovered on the carpet on my first visit and
these socks were wrestled from Rocket's mouth on the second visit. Too much time on their paws, I'd say!
At the end of each visit Turbo showed me that she knew the art of couch surfing and
Rocket knew the art of face time with his pet sitter. Can you tell I miss these goofy dogs badly and cannot wait to see them again?
I bet they are all kinds of happy when they see you come.
