I've
always thought that my coon hound, Daisy, was the only lucky four-legged friend living in Dover because she has been collecting compliments, dog
bones, and water from barbers, bank tellers, and various shop owners throughout the neighborhood but on Sunday I discovered that Hector and Huey have been
winning the hearts of residents for years.
When I was petting these majestic horses on a Sunday afternoon an excited woman drove up to the fence, parked her car in front of the fence, popped her trunk open, and much to my amazement there were several bags of apples, carrots, and homemade biscuits that she routinely prepares for these lovely creatures.
Of course, I was delighted to watch how she and the horses interacted with each other so she handed a few carrots to me and I was smiling the entire time that they munched on them.
As you can imagine, I feel fortunate that there's a little bit of a farm life in this small city!
Oh fun! We have horses, but we always like meeting new ones.
