Costumed Pooches Strut Their Stuff at Cocheco Valley Humane Society's 'Parade Your Pooch' Event

Costumed pooches paraded through Demeritt Hill Farm in picturesque Lee, New Hampshire, from 11-4 yesterday in an effort to raise money for Cocheco Valley Humane Society and while I was there I met a tiny pumpkin,

 a cuddly group of bumblebees,

a bull and bull rider,

a devil,

and

 two peas in a pod

during this pawpular event.

Teams of walkers raised money from pledges prior to the Parade Your Pooch stroll while other guests, such as my coon hound, Daisy,  donated her money to the shelter just minutes before the 2:30 announcement that the stroll was about to begin.

As you can see, Daisy was so enthused to be of help to Cocheco Valley Humane Society that she barked continuously only to stop for a

few moments of refreshment.

Of course, Daisy thought it was rewarding enough to help animals in need by walking and barking along the well worn paths at Demeritt Hill Farm but milk bones and a

30 minute nap on the ride home was rewarding, indeed!

  5. Hi,
It's me, Daisy, and I am still really tired after spreading the word about at the Parade Your Pooch event and about the pets available for adoption but it was well worth it!

    1. I agree, Austin! As soon as we got to the event I realized that I'd forgotten to get her dressed up for the occasion! No wonder she was barking constantly! She was embarrassed that she didn't have a costume on!
