Two year old Maddie the Redtick Coon Hound's well-poised exploits have been captured by owner Theron Humphrey in a blog called "Maddie On Things: A Super Serious Project About Dogs And Physics".
His daily pictures have made the Maddie an internet sensation as she posed on something strange in each one.
Maddie was adopted from an animal shelter in April 2011. The 28-year-old photographer said: "Maddie is always by my side when I photograph other people so I decided to make her the subject of my work for a change."
According to Humphrey, the project began as a simple bet with a friend. “I had been photographing Maddie for a bit, just for fun, to do something different. A friend challenged me to see if Maddie could stand on four soup cans. She did it on the first try!” he said.
In June, the 11-month journey finally came to an end after driving nearly 60,000 miles across the lower 48 states!

Does no one ever stop to wonder if this dog really enjoys balancing like this? She's balancing for her life in many of these photos! What if she slips? Is this okay, just to entertain us?
