Daisy's Bone Has Been Picked: Part Two

Hello Ladies and Gents, I'm Daisy Lindahl. You know I had a bone to pick last night so now you're going to hear ... the rest of the story...

My humans drove me to a place I couldn't wait to get to...the V-E-T-S office...and as soon as my dad found a parking space I couldn't wait to get in that office! My dad's arm was practically pulled out of its socket but I didn't care! My vet had a bone to pick and I was ready for her help! See how serious I am? And speaking of "See", can you see that mean 'ol bone under my nose?

And here I am watching my dad sign my life away write his name on a piece of paper where he had to promise to not blame the vet if anything goes wrong during minor surgery!

Excuse me, dad? mom? Vet lady? I don't think my problem is minor at all! This is a MAJOR problem! And did I hear the vet say that something could go wrong and that my dad can't blame you fur it? What the dog?

And here's proof that nothing went wrong at all! The vet lady used a crowbar bolt cutters to get the bone off but I didn't feel a thing! In fact, I was sleeping and dreaming about all of my furends the whole time!

Thank you, vet lady, for making me look less ridiculous in less than 2 hours! Don't I look prettier without a mean 'ol bone glued stuck on my face? It should because it was a $300.00 makeover!

  11. hey Daisy,

You look lovely without a bone piercing on your jaw! So furry happy the Vet was able to take it off so quickly and painlessly. A crowbar sounds pretty intimidating, though!

Now you can go home and eat all your sweet Valentine's Day treats!

  15. Daisy, we're so glad that bone got picked! We felt embarrassed for you, so we know you had to feel bad too. And wanting to go to the V-E-T?? That IS bad! Looks like Mom and Dad need to get you either smaller or larger bones that can't fit around your lower jaw. This is one of the weirdest dog things I've ever seen! Hope your chinny-chin-chin is feeling okay today after that crowbar incident yesterday!!

  28. Daisy,
You look marvelous after your expensive make over... but once is enough!

(excuse my previous comment, I had a misspelling again!)

  29. What a relief! Did you give the vet a big kiss afterwards? :P

  30. I am so glad that the vet was able to remove the bone for you and you are okay, how did you get the bone like that? My mom would go crazy if that ever happened to me

  31. Now THAT's a jawbone! Just so you know, Daisy, you're not the only one! Aspen had this happen to her once, but Dad cut it off himself. Yikes! And when Mom worked at the vet, a black lab came in with a bone attached to her jaw just like you. They sawed it off with a tiny saw. It happens to the best of us.

  34. Oopsie! My mom is such a ditz fur telling you that the vet took the bone off my face with a crowbar! Just goes to show that my mom doesn't listen to what my dad reports back to her! BOL! The magical tool was NOT A CROWBAR, folks! It was a BOLT CUTTER that did the trick! My vet lady would faint if she knew that the whole world thought she used a crowbar on me!

  40. Oh my dogness! What an ordeal you went through, Daisy. Plus you're going to have to put up with their telling this story for years to come! But at least you're free and OK now. That's the important thing.

  41. We just read about your bone ordeal at Frankie's blog and came over to be sure you're ok. That was a terrible experience but a very valuable PSA for all of the doggies out here who get those marrow bones to chew. We're glad you have fully recovered; we hope you didn't crack a tooth or anything.
