Floppy-Eared Caption Contest!

Don't you just love this picture of Sophie, the basset-beagle mix (on the left) and Daisy? This photo was taken just after their trip to the dog park and needless to say they were pretty tuckered out after an afternoon of socializing.

The only problem with this picture is that it doesn't have a caption because I am not clever enough to think of one. Sooo.....could you be the one to give this photo a caption?

To enter the contest:
1. You must be a follower of my blog AND in return I will follow your blog....I promise!
2. Just leave your suggested photo title in the Comments section of this post.
3. One entry per person, please.

Contest will end at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time on Thursday, May 6th. The winner will be selected based on creativity, cleverness, and the ability to sum up this floppy-eared photo in a just a few words.

The GRAND PRIZE will be a $30.00 gift certificate to Barnes and Noble, my favorite bookstore of all time! I so wish I could offer a bigger prize but I am not The Pioneer Woman yet, but IF that ever happens, I will amp up my prizes in the future! I promise!

So put your feet up, have a glass of wine, and start thinking of the best caption for this hound of a picture!

Have fun,
April

  1. Whooooie!!!! IT came in the mail today!! I'm gonna try to post it for Sunday or Monday. Miss Sandy did a WONDERFUL WONDERFUL job. Now my mom says it is Too Grrreat to put out in the yard. We are having "words" over this I can tell you. Butt, I guess is does "speak" well of the beautiful job and how much it truly does LOOK LIKE ME (Frankie Furter).
I was thinkin' that a good name for the picture of Sophie and Daisy would be .... Dawg Tired.
Thanks again for the wonderful pressie prize.

  6. That is a very cute picture!!! Mom isn't very creative at all with captions. I might be able to think of something to let her know...you always have to leave the good things for the dogs!!! Lots of love, Debbie and Holly

  10. I enjoyed my visit to your great blog...so you left teaching to be a pet sitter? What grade did you teach? I taught 1st for 27 years, kind of like pet sitting, chuckle!

Caption: "Is that you I smell, or did something die in the car?"

Hugs and belly rubs to all,

  12. We're still thinking on the capshun. Capshuns are harder than they look on Loldogs.

  13. "Ahh Good times!!"
That's what I thought of first thing after seeing the picture.
Thanks for your kind words. I can grow things. But I just think of a plant as a living breathing baby that I take care of. The secret to container gardening is good rich soil that drains well, that you never let get all dried out. You feed and water and touch everyday!!!
I am glad to be feeling better too!!!!!
