Do Your Ears Hang Low?

As a kindergarten teacher, my little munchkins loved to sing silly songs and one of their favorites was  "Do Your Ears Hang Low?" and we sang it often. It is ironic that a song about dog's ears became so dear to me especially since my knowledge of the canine world was limited. Singing about a long-eared dog whose ears hung low and wobbled to and fro always made me smile, but I never knew there were other types of ears until I met my clients.

I hope you enjoy looking at my clients and my own pets' ears as you hum the lyrics!

  10. What a great set of pics to go with a familiar song. Thanks for joining my blog. I also have quit a full time teaching career to work more closely with animals and now work as a relief teacher. It is great being able to teach children other things like how to look after animals and especially respecting strange dogs.

  12. Sue sent us over - very cute post. Our human nieces and nephews all love that song. Grandma, our Mom, has taught them to sign it with hand gestures too. It's a great song.

  13. Came over to visit via the Portuguese Blog because of the mention of one of my favorite songs - retired kindergarten teacher!

What a wonderful photo gallery. I only knew the first verse and I thought that was all there was to the song.

  14. Sue sent me over and that was a most fun blog today. I had a baby Scottie whose ears were bigger than the rest of him, he was at my auntie's farm going through the grass where all you could see were ears and he spooked a herd of cows!

    Cheers,
