Henry was reluctant to sit on the examining table for the second time last week so he distracted himself by looking out the window for birds and squirrels but since they didn't make an appearance he hopped to the
floor looking more irritated than he was five minutes before. Can you blame him?
When his regular vet examined him she discovered he has a double ear infection and applied a BNT salve that would stay in his ears for two weeks. No wonder he was so lethargic for weeks!
After the salve was applied Henry thought the worst was over Henry until I snapped a picture of his ear. He looks so angry, doesn't he?
After the salve was applied Henry hopped to the floor and listened to the vet's advice in regards to whether he should have a Senior Screen, X-rays, or an echo cardiogram.
Much to Henry amazement (as seen above) his vet said she would NOT recommend any of those tests until his thyroid levels were normal so she tweaked the dosage and scheduled a re-check in two weeks.
Needless to say, I'm glad I got a second opinion and that the prognosis was much better than I expected.
Thank you so much for your concern and prayers! I will keep you posted in two weeks!
