Yes, Even Birds Have Emotions!

Tom Retterbush, the founder of Survival Watch, a community dedicated to the survival of self and mankind shared this depiction of the emotions of birds and I thought it was such a touching story:

When this bird was hit by a car as she swooped low across the road. Her mate brought her food and tended to her with love and compassion. He brought her food again but was shocked to find her dead. He tried to move her... Finally aware that his mate is dead, he cried with adoring love. He stood beside her, saddened by her death.

Finally, he stood beside her body with sadness and sorrow.

People cried after seeing these pictures when they were published in the leading newspaper in France.

All copies of the paper were sold out on the day the pictures were released.

And to think that some people think animals don't have emotions or feelings!

  1. OMD what a sad story. I believe every word of this. Many years ago I was in slow traffic and drove past where a female duck had been hit and killed. She was laying right on the birm and her mate was standing beside her. Because traffic was backed up, we all went by very slowly and that duck wasn't quacking or honking, he was screaming. It was the saddest sound I've ever heard. He was looking at the sky and making this anguished screaming sound. That was back in 1992 or 1993 and I can still see and hear that scene in my head. Animals definitely have feelings. Thanks for sharing the moving post today. Wish every human would read it.

    1. A screaming bird watching her baby while someone helped her little one would be so traumatizing to me as well.
