Another Tribute to Joust and My Sympathies to Blogger Bud, Pip

I know, I know, I can't help but write one more post about Joust because I can't get him off my mind so I thought I'd share one of my favorite pictures of us so you can see why our friendship worked so well.

In the picture above you tell I'm amused by Joust's indifference to my interest in taking his picture but way deep down I knew he really enjoyed the attention because soon afterwards he put his front paws in play position and then did a little circle dance and then ran downstairs and back up again to get me to chase him. It was the funniest thing he ever did. I miss that silliness and he knew it. Gosh, I miss that little man and he wasn't even my dog! He passed away on Saturday and then

I recently learned that Pip crossed over the Rainbow Bridge the next day. He was a funny little fella whom I've never met personally but because of his silly posts I felt like I knew him well. I never fully knew what goes through a dog's mind before they pass away but when you read his last post you will understand, cry, and laugh. Please visit his blog and leave your sympathies because I know his family needs your support right now. Thank you.

  2. Thanks for this lovely post! I am so humbled and grateful for all the support we have received from fellow pet bloggers. I can't thank you enough!!! I always tried to be true to Pip on the blog and I'm glad you enjoyed his stories and silly antics.

I am so sorry to hear about Joust. He sounds like quite a character and a very special friend. What a handsome and wise face!

  3. We could picture Joust turning those cirlces around and around while we was a reading this. I think April it is just fine that you blog about the loss of your friend as many times as you want to. This is a tough time on blogville and it hurts us deeply.
