Rest in Peace, Sweet Little Tavi! You Will Be Missed!

Last Friday my dear little pet sitting client and friend, Tavi, peacefully crossed over Rainbow Bridge at 4:45 pm with her doting father, Rich, by her side. Letting Tavi go was not an easy decision to make but it was a loving decision because at the ripe old age of 18, Tavi's kidneys were failing and because of that she was unable to enjoy doing the things she used to love to do such as wandering in her back yard

and watching birds, squirrels, and butterflies on her back deck.

One of the other things she loved to do was to sit in front of the fireplace and that is exactly what she did one week before her passing with assistance from her worried dad, of course.

I am so happy I had the privilege of being Tavi's friend and pet sitter for six years and I am going to miss her sweetness forever. Rest in peace little girl!

  5. As a cat-sitter, I understand the sadness in losing a client's cat. We build such wonderful relationships with them. It is always so hard to think you will not see them again. What a beautiful cat she was. A darling cat. Rest in Peace, sweetie.

  11. I appreciate all of your kind words of sympathy and I'm sure Tavi's owner appreciates them as well! Sadly, the last time I saw her was in the summer of 2011 right before I moved out of Manchester to Dover. I knew her health was declining then but was in serious denial that she would live forever! As a pet sitter, it is hard to deal with the reality that my pet clients will not live forever but even harder for their two-legged family members to deal with the pain even more so!
