Who would have thought that my above photo would be announced as the #1 winner of Sparkle's photo contest today? It was big shock to win because, after all, I was competing against Puddles and many other furry friends for the past month! Read more about my
I bet you are wondering how my mom got me to pose like this but the truth is that she had absolutely nothing to do with it! I just so happened to be reading Sparkle's story in the Cesar's Way magazine when all of a sudden I heard my mom say, "Awww! Honey, get the camera! This is too cute!" and then I heard a *click-click* from mom's camera and that was it! My humans thought my picture was so pawsome that they kept telling me what a good girl I was which was strange because I didn't sit or give them a chance to shake my paw.
We kinda forgot about the Sparkle's contest until Dayna told my mom that I was the winner just a few days ago and boy are we excited! Pretty soon I will receive one of the very first copies of the revision of Sparkles' children's fire safety book, Sparkles the Fire Safety Dog, due to be released in July! The book will be autographed by Children's Author Firefighter Dayna Hilton and "pawtographed" by Sparkles the Fire Safety Dog!
I am also getting a Talking Combination Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarm from First Alert; my humans tell me this circle thingy will keep us safe in case of fire so I'm happy about that!
Thank you, Sparkles, for inviting me to pawticipate in the pawsome contest and thank you fur spreading the news about fire safety! Woof!
